Home health care is skilled, doctor-ordered medical care delivered at home to support recovery from surgery or illness or help manage a chronic condition.

Skilled Nursing
Licensed nurses provide wound care, IV and infusion therapy, injections, catheter and ostomy care, and medication management in the patient’s home.
Physical Therapy at Home
Physical therapy helps rebuild strength, balance, and mobility after surgery, injury, or stroke, without trips to a clinic.
Occupational Therapy at Home
Occupational therapy helps patients regain everyday skills such as dressing, bathing, and cooking and may recommend changes that make daily routines at home safer.
Speech Therapy at Home
Speech therapy helps adults improve speech and language and address swallowing difficulties, including after a stroke.
Home Health Aide
A home health aide provides part-time help with bathing, grooming, and mobility when it is included in the skilled plan of care.
Medical Social Services
Medical social services help patients and families coordinate care, plan a safe discharge, and connect with community resources.

for Medicare-covered home health services
Medicare may cover home health services when a patient is homebound, needs part-time or intermittent skilled care, and has an order and care plan from a doctor or other qualified provider. Eligibility depends on medical need and Medicare requirements, not income.
The plan is reviewed at least every 60 days while care continues. Eligible patients pay $0 for covered home health services. XL Care also accepts Medi-Cal, private insurance, and private pay.
